Starwin Products Limited originated from Sterling Products International Limited. The company was registered in Ghana in 1960 as Sterling Pharmaceuticals Ghana Limited, representing the parent American Pharmaceutical firm. After the acquisition of Sterling by Kodak in 1987, there were changes in the operations and management of Sterling Products Ghana Limited and this eventually led to the changing of the company's name to Starwin Products Limited in May 1993.

Starwin is into the manufacturing of pharmaceuticals. It is the producer of Andrew Liver Salt, Rapinol, Asmadrin, Painoff, Plasmaquin etc in the Ghanaian market

On January 13, 2004, the shareholders of Starwin passed a resolution to go public and by so doing increased their stated capital. SPL officially listed on the Ghana Stock Exchange on December 29, 2004 Starwin has 500 million authorized shares and more than 74.24 million issued shares. The company also has a stated capital of GHS 1.98 million
